World Kindness Day, celebrated annually on November 13th, is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and the world. This special day encourages individuals to perform acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, to make the world a better place.
Our Centre buzzed with excitement as we embarked on a meaningful journey to celebrate the spirit of kindness. The day began with planting the trees. With the guidance of the teachers, the children eagerly took turns digging holes and planting their trees. As we planted, we talked about how trees provide homes for birds and animals, help clean the air, and give us shade and fruits. After the tree planting, children were encouraged to do artwork too. This learning experience provided an opportunity to explore a sense of belonging and emotional well-being aligned with Te Whāriki strands.
