Our philosophy is deeply rooted in the values of respect, trust, empathy, co-operation, and independence. We believe that each child is a unique and powerful being deserving of cherishment and respect. Our intention is to inspire wonder, curiosity, and a love for the environment, while fostering lifelong skills and values.
One of the key characteristics that set us apart is our strong emphasis on relationships. We believe in creating strong reciprocal, responsive, trusting, and respectful relationships between teachers, children, and their families (Whanau). We actively involve Whanau in the everyday life of our centre and encourage their participation in their child's learning journey through regular communication.
We at the Candy Cuddles Early Childhood Centre, will promote and deliver high quality early childhood education through the attraction and retention of quality trained staff. The implementation of child initiated educational practices and consistent monitoring of our delivery through “Action, Reflection and Review” between staff, families and management. Our learning community will actively foster and support educational leadership capacity to promote a culture of enquiry, critical reflection and shared knowledge through the Service.
The Service acknowledges Maori as Tangata Whenua and is committed to
Tiriti-based partnerships which is strengthened through partnerships, policies and practices. The Service is committed to a strong commitment to the family of children with a Pacific heritage.
This serves to promote and create appreciation for cultural diversity. This includes ethnic and social diversity such as children with additional learning needs. It used to be said that "It takes a whole Village to raise a child." We believe it takes a "whole Team to raise a child." Our expertise and experience in the industry will be pooled in with our experienced and passionate Coordinators and Educators.

Candy Cuddles Early Learning Centre aims to be a special and unique Early Childhood Education (ECE) service in our community by offering a warm, family-oriented environment that is centred around strong relationships, inclusion, and a bi-cultural approach.
The mission of our early childhood education programs is to work in partnership with families and the community. We strive to enhance the abilities and skills of our children integrating Social, Physical, Intellectual, Communicational, and Emotional (SPICE) development using Science, Mathematics, Arts, Recreation and Technology (SMART) programmes.

Through a feasibility study and previous ownership, it has revealed a clear demand for an ECE service in our local area. Our intention is to continue serving the community as it was done before, while strengthening our connections with the Sikh community, given the proximity of the Sikh temple to our centre. This approach enables us to create a richer and more diverse cultural experience for our children, celebrating and learning from various backgrounds and traditions.
